Public Health Emergency for Guam

Governor Lou Leon Guerrero in a special address declared a Public Health Emergency for Guam. She did this following President Donald Trump’s declaration of a National State of Emergency under the Stafford Act which makes billions of dollars in federal resources available. The governor made the local declaration so that Guam could access those resources and elevate our level of preparedness for COVID-19. The governor also ordered the closure of all public senior centers by close of business Wednesday. She also ordered the cancellation of al social events for 100 people or more effective 5:00pm Wednesday. The mandates will remain in place as necessary. Meanwhile, Public Health today tested three samples of surveillance cases and all three tested NEGATIVE for the coronavirus. #Guam remains COVID-19 free.
