Political Advocacy
The goal of the Guam Association of REALTORS® (GAR) Government Affairs Committee is to serve as the voice of the real estate industry by actively engaging with policymakers, community members, and GAR members to advocate for legislation and regulatory policies that support a healthy and sustainable real estate market on Guam. The Committee works to enact or revise laws that improve housing access, property rights, land use, and economic growth while ensuring fairness and transparency in the industry. By listening closely to the concerns of both the people of Guam and GAR members, the Committee aims to identify real estate-related challenges and develop actionable solutions that promote responsible development, protect consumers, and enhance the overall quality of life for all residents of Guam.
Since 1969, the REALTORS® Political Action Committee (RPAC) has promoted the election of pro-REALTOR® candidates across the United States.
Every year, GAR and its members contribute to supporting the efforts of the RPAC.
